I am way ahead of last year pace. Don't know why except I have a Nook and lots of books on it. Been raiding the Gutenberg Library.
Last year I read so many books. But I got behind in logging them. I rather have been reading then typing. But my real problem I tend to get to wordy and run out of time. (Or interest.)
So this year I will keep my list going but just the name of the books. You may always ask me about them. I would like that.
7. The Apprentice by Tess Gerritsen (2002) - mystery/suspense – The second tale of Detective Rizzoli and introducing The Queen of the Dead, Dr. Maura Isles. (012612)
8. Wicked by Gregory Maguire (1995) - Fantasy - The first of a series of OZ, from the Wicked Witch of the West. (013102)
9. The Red Thumb Mark by R. Austin Freeman (1907) - Detective/mystery – The first tale of Dr John Evelyn Thorndyke , a medical-legal expert. (020212)
I know I seem to be reading a lot. Most mysteries are easy reads. ( Unlike door-stoppers Fantasy books. They have lots of descriptions in them to take you way to a new world. ) And in the hands of a great storyteller I can't put them down. (Yes I know I am a series reader.)
